Yixuan (Jennifer) Zhao is an assistant researcher in the School of Business at Nanjing University, one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher learning in China. Yixuan is also the founder and currently the chief secretary of the SiMou Club, an entrepreneurial club in the Jiangsu area with the vision of building a bridge between academics and businesses for knowledge transfer, as well as promoting innovative thoughts and innovative strategies. Prior to working at Nanjing University, she worked for more than 10 years in the management consulting field, leading business strategy and human resource strategy projects. In 2009, she assisted the University of Southern California in opening the first USC China office, and worked at the USC China office as the associate director. Yixuan Zhao graduated from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, in 2004 with honors. She received her MBA from the University of Southern California, in 2009, and received her Ph.D. in business administration from Nanjing University, in 2016 with national honors.
