After joining USC in January 1984, Jack managed global business training programs as associate director, director and then associate dean (IBEAR MBA, IBEAR Executive Programs, GEMBA, C-GLOBE) and taught at the USC Marshall School of Business. Before returning to the Los Angeles area where he had been raised, he taught Comparative Politics, Japanese Politics, Chinese Politics, and Comparative Urban Politics at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. He later moved to the Executive Development Center in the business school, where he served as the Assistant Director of International Programs. He also managed the Konan-Illinois Center at Konan University in Kobe.

IBEAR has been engaged in the globalization of the USC Marshall School of Business since 1978, with particular emphasis on Asia and Latin America. Jack retired from USC on July 31, 2011. He enjoys keeping in contact with our 1900 IBEAR MBA alumni and IBEAR/Marshall faculty, staff and friends, helping to support the IBEAR MBA cause! Specialties: Advising on global management development and international business opportunities and partnering. Academic research interests: politics and business in Asia.
